An Aberdeen optician will be holding a festive event that enables invited guests to claim a free pair of glasses.
Staff at Specsavers on Union Street will welcome the city’s most vulnerable people into the store tonight to receive a free eye test before being given complimentary glasses – should they require them.
The attendees have been identified by homeless charities Integrate Scotland and Aberdeen Cyrenians.
Store director at Specsavers Aberdeen, Dave McGinty, said: “We’re delighted to have the chance of giving something back this festive period by offering free eye tests and goodwill glasses to some of Aberdeen’s most vulnerable people.
“The uptake has been fantastic and we’re pleased to say that all available spaces have been taken.”
