A north-east man has been accused of abduction and assault with intention to rape.
Lee Donald is alleged to have struck on March 24 this year at an address in west Aberdeenshire.
Court papers show he has been accused of abducting his alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, locking her in a bathroom, standing in front of the door to prevent her from leaving and detaining her against her will.
He is further accused of seizing her by the body, pinning her against a bed and kissing her and also pulling down her clothes with the intention of raping her.
The case against the 33-year-old called at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday where he denied the allegation against him.
Donald, of Gordon Street in Huntly, will return to court in January.
