A planning application has been submitted to build flats in the grounds of a city hospital.
CALA Homes, in conjunction with NHS Grampian, has submitted a planning application to Aberdeen City Council for a development at May Baird Avenue.
The application outlines a proposal for the creation of 36 one and two bedroom apartments.
The land, which forms part of the grounds of the Royal Cornhill Hospital in Aberdeen, is currently disused.
Ross Maclennan, land director at CALA Homes North said: “This development would replace currently disused surplus land with apartments created to CALA’s very high specifications and standards, which we believe would enhance and enrich the area, and potentially allow the NHS to reinvest funds from the sale of the land into health services in Grampian.
“We previously built apartments off May Baird Avenue which were completed in 2017 and these homes proved very popular with a variety of homebuyers, from downsizers to young professionals.
“We anticipate similar interest in this new development, should approval be granted. We look forward to working with the council to reach a positive decision in due course.”
