Fire crews were alerted to the incident, which took place on the B979 north of Stonehaven where it meets the A90, at 4pm. The woman had to be cut free from her car and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a precaution. The road was closed while the vehicles were removed and to allow a street sweeper to clear away any debris. It re-opened at around 8pm. Road now fully reopened.
