Police are on the hunt for a grinch after Rudolph the red nosed reindeer was stolen from a Highland League club’s stadium.
Officers in Aberdeenshire are appealing for information after the 3ft reindeer decoration was stolen from Deveronvale’s Princess Royal Park in Banff.
Police describe the festive reindeer as being white with lights and having a soft red nose. The decoration is displayed annually at the rear of the ground and was taken sometime between December 31 last year and January 3.
Investigating officer PC Beattie said: “The reindeer is privately owned by a member of staff at the Princess Royal Sports and Community Trust who puts it on display for the local community to enjoy each Christmas and so it’s disappointing that it has been taken.
“Anyone with information about the whereabouts of ‘Rudolph’ the reindeer is asked the call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1588 of 3 January.”
