Firefighters were called to an Aberdeenshire farm tonight after a horse became stuck in a horse box and its owner was unable to free it from its predicament.
Two crews from Ellon were dispatched to help dislodge the animal, which had become stuck at Cromleybank Farm on the outskirts of the town, at about 8.20pm.
However, the horse managed to make its own way from the container before the teams arrived on the scene.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “There was a horse stuck in a horse box but it managed to free itself.
“The horse had self-rescued and seemed to be fine.”
