A 21-year-old woman has been charged after a child was struck by a car in an alleged hit and run incident in Aberdeen.
Police last night said that charges had been brought against the woman after the alleged incident on Skene Street at around 4.40pm on Wednesday.
The six-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in the collision.
Members of the public have been thanked for assisting with the police investigation.
A spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm a 21-year-old woman has been charged in relation to allegedly failing to stop and report a collision at Skene Street, Aberdeen, at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, January 16.
“A six year old male pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the collision.“
Sergeant Peter Henderson of the Road Policing Department said: “We are grateful to members of the public who assisted while inquiries were carried out.”
