Councillors have been urged back plans to create Aberdeen’s second “Cryuff court” football pitch.
Officers have said the best option for the facility, named after the famous Dutch midfielder, is to build it at the vacant Tullos playing fields on Girdleness Road in Torry.
The facility is an all-weather astro-turf playing area which gives young people, especially those from underprivileged areas, somewhere to develop sport skills.
There are more than 200 courts in 19 countries across the globe.
It is estimated it will cost £300,000 to construct.
The city’s first facility was opened in Catherine Street in 2017, becoming the first of its kind in Scotland, and the plans have been backed by Aberdeen football legend Denis Law.
