A former Peterhead bingo hall is to go under the hammer once again following the collapse of a plan to convert it into a restaurant.
The Marischal Street site has lain empty for more than a year, ever since Gala Bingo left the premises at the start of 2018.
Sava Estates bought the building and last August submitted proposals to convert the old cinema into a restaurant with a large multipurpose function room.
A supporting statement submitted alongside the blueprints said the town centre property would become a “quality restaurant” and offer a “fine dining experience”.

It said the move would “regenerate” the property and also improve Marischal Street by bringing more people to the thoroughfare and subsequently making it safer.
Planning chiefs gave the idea the go ahead in October, but now the town centre property will change hands once more after being offered for sale by an auctioneer.
Future Property Auctions will handle the sale of the 13,554 sq ft property and has set a guide price of £129,000.
The sale lot also includes a yard at the back of the building with parking spaces for around 17 cars.
The Glasgow-based firm’s listing also features of number of suggestions for using the former bingo hall, which the sale particulars describe as “magnificent”.
Their listing said: “The property occupies a prominent position on the pedestrianised Marischal Street, opposite Drummers Corner and nearby occupiers include H Samuel, Argos, WH Smith and Superdrug.
“The property benefits from a yard to the rear with parking for approximately 17 cars.
“It could have multiple uses like a nightclub, retail unit, restaurant, gym or a soft play area.”
The hammer will come down on the building on February 7 in Edinburgh.
Gala Bingo moved out after the property was sold to private buyer.
More than 350 people visited the venue as the final game was played on January 3 last year.
The former Drummers Bar, which is next door to the bingo hall, is currently being converted into the latest branch of Ellon-based Brewdog.
