Emergency services were called to an incident in Gerrard Street around 5pm. One man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and required oxygen. A fire spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 5pm regarding a fire in the kitchen of a tenement in Gerrard Street. “The fire was actually out on arrival by our team.” Unlike this morning’s fire in Mastrick, there have been no evacuations from other properties.
