Commuters are being asked to avoid part of Aberdeen city centre this morning, with fears that urgent roadworks could cause rush hour gridlock.
Teams from Scottish Water and BT are working to repair a cable fault, partially blocking traffic on Virginia Street, Market Street and Guild Street.
The city council has warned the work “will not be resolved ahead of peak traffic times”.
A spokeswoman said: “Drivers should factor this into their journey times and consider alternative routes.”
Drivers are being advised to avoid Aberdeen's Virginia Street, Market Street and Guild Street tomorrow morning (Mon 04 Feb) due to a Scottish Water / BT issue. Scottish Water and BT are onsite dealing with the cable fault but it will not be repaired ahead of peak morning traffic.
