City centre road closures will be in place again tomorrow morning, with commuters warned to expect extra congestion.
Parts of Guild Street have been blocked off to allow BT engineers to fix a cable fault.
However it has transpired that the damage is “worse than expected” and a series of restrictions will be in place from 9.30am tomorrow morning.
The city council has said the following closures will be in place:
No right turns from Guild Street on to Market Street
No right turns from the top part of Market Street onto Guild Street.
A council spokesman said that any affected bus routes will use South College Street instead.
The damage to the BT cable is worse than expected and as of 9.30am tomorrow, restrictions will be extended with no right turns from Guild Street on to Market Street and no south bound onto Guild Street from Union Street. Affected bus routes will use South College Street.
