Fire crews were called out to an Aberdeenshire hotel this afternoon after reports of smoke in the main building.
Firefighters from Inverurie and Ellon rushed to Meldrum House Hotel in Oldmeldrum just before 5pm this evening.
Hotel guests were evacuated during the incident which involved a wood-burning stove.
A Scottish Fire Service spokesman said that on arrival they did not need to use any equipment, he added: “We were called to Meldrum House Hotel at 4.47pm and sent two crews from Inverurie and one from Ellon to investigate reports of smoke.
“It was found that the smoke was coming from a wood-burning stove situated within the hotel.
“We did not need to use any of our equipment and we left the premises at 4.59pm.”
