The council has put out a new alphabetical list of common material that can be processed through recycling, from aerosal tins to yoghurt pots. The web page has been designed to help reduce the region’s carbon footprint and send less waste to landfill. Aberdeenshire’s recycling rate is currently just under 44%, but the council believes it should be as high as 70% with the services available.
