A new Lidl supermarket will be opening in Aberdeen next week.
The chain’s new branch will open its doors on Hutcheon Street on Thursday February 21, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8am.
The new shop will include an in-store bakery, longer than usual tills and parking spaces for both cars and bicycles.
Once opened, it will create 40 new jobs.
The site is the former Currys PC World.
Gordon Rafferty, Lidl UK’s regional head of property said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing our fifth Lidl store to Aberdeen.
“It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
