Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious one-vehicle crash on a north-east road. Police were notified of the incident on the A981 at Strichen at around 12.15pm. In a Facebook post they said that the road is closed and urged drivers to avoid the area. They also said that the incident was being treated as “serious”. it is understood that two men were cut free from the vehicle and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. A fire service spokeswoman confirmed that two appliances, from Fraserburgh and Maud, are in attendance. She said: “The ambulance is at the scene. We are currently making the vehicle safe and tidying up.”
