Comedian Jack Whitehall has announced details of his biggest tour yet – with Aberdeen’s new gig venue on the list.
The League of Their Own star will bring his Stood Up tour to the new £333million Teca in Aberdeen on November 21.
The modern venue, at Bucksburn, is expected to open in the summer.
The award-winning comedian, actor and writer is looking forward to getting back on the road following his sell-out tours in 2014 and 2017.
Whitehall – who is widely celebrated for his hit show Travels With My Father – said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be going back out on the road.
“There’s no feeling like standing up on stage in front of an arena full of strangers, and still being able to hear your dad heckle you.”
Louise Stewart, head of entertainment at Teca, said: “We’re so pleased Jack is heading back to Aberdeen as part of his 2019 tour, and thrilled it’ll be at our brand new venue Teca.
“Jack was very popular when he was in the city last time and I have no doubt he will be again, having done a variety of great things since then.”
Whitehall was most recently seen in Lasse Hallström’s The Nutcracker And The Four Realms opposite Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman.
He is also featuring in Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, due to be released in 2020.
An established presenter, Whitehall has hosted a number of prestigious award ceremonies and television series, becoming the youngest ever host of the Royal Variety Performance in 2015.
He will also host the Brit Awards later this month, for the second year in a row.
The Teca development includes world-class concert, conference and exhibition space as well as two hotels and an energy centre.
Tickets for Jack Whitehall: Stood Up on sale at 10am on Friday.
