An Aberdeenshire charity is celebrating after receiving a donation of over £2,000.
Give A Greyhound A Home (GAGAH) was established in 1999 with the sole aim of raising awareness about the plight of racing greyhounds and ex-working lurchers.
And this week, the charity was presented with a cheque for £2,047 following donations from Inverurie Pets at Home customers.
The money came as a result of the store’s Santa Paws Appeal, held in December.
GAGAH volunteer Steph Gravell said: “The team at Pets at Home were amazing and volunteers from GAGAH attended with dogs every Saturday in December to help increase the total amount raised.”
GAGAH is currently seeking homes for a number of different dogs in their care.
The most recent dog, Ziva, arrived with the charity yesterday and has been described as a “little sweetheart”.
The seven-year-old has been settling in with the other dogs needing homes at the Aberdeenshire shelter.
To adopt Zia, or any other dogs at GAGAH, call Pat on 07572 402756, after 6pm, Monday to Friday.
