Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault which took place at the weekend in a north east town.
A 35-year-old man is said to have been assaulted by another man following an argument.
The victim was taken to hospital with facial injuries, following the assault which happened in Huntly at around 3.50pm on Saturday afternoon.
Officers in Huntly are appealing for witnesses following the alleged assault which occurred in town’s busy main thoroughfare The Square.
Investigating officer PC Mark Jones said: “With it being a Saturday afternoon, the town will have been relatively busy and so I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed any of the incident to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting officer reference A9756.”
