Motorists have been warned to avoid the Riverside Drive area of Aberdeen following an incident involving a spillage of manure.
A trailer, being pulled by a tractor, has overturned near to the BP garage on North Esplanade West – shedding its load of manure across the road and pavement.
Police are attending the scene and have advised motorists to avoid the area until the vehicle has been recovered.
They were called to the incident at around 2pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “The road has been reduced to one lane, and we are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible until the vehicle has been recovered.
“We received a call just before 2pm. A trailer had overturned near to the BP garage on North Esplanade West. It has spilled its cargo onto the road.
“The road will need to be closed for a short while to enable the recovery to take place, but we do not yet know when this will be.”
