Plans to convert a former church into two homes have been approved.
Strichen-based developer John Rafferty lodged plans to transform the Trinity Parish Church on Manse Terrace, Boddam before Christmas.
The C-listed church was used as a place of worship until 2016, and was sold off by the Church of Scotland last summer.
Now the main church will become a two-bedroom home with a mezzanine level on the first floor and a cinema room.
The hall next door will be made into a separate one-bedroom property according the plans drawn up by McAdam Design (Scotland) Ltd.
Aberdeenshire Council has now backed the scheme, after receiving letters of representation from the public who were pleased the facade of the property would not be impacted.

One letter stated: “The interior of this listed building will obviously be drastically changed under this proposal but the external elevations, including the facade onto Manse Terrace will be retained.
“This will ensure that its archaic Georgian Gothic appearance, which is the most significant historical feature of the building, is maintained.”
Head of planning Robert Gray said the scheme – which is subject to securing listed building consent and an archaeological survey – was a “positive” way of bringing the derelict building back into use.
Mr Gray said: “The change of use is acceptable in principle and is considered positive in terms of bringing this important category C-listed building back into use and securing its long term future.
“The proposals would not have any significant impacts upon surrounding amenity.”
