Police are looking for a man who presented a weapon and demanded money from a female shopworker at an Aberdeen store.
An appeal for witnesses has been launched following the attempted robbery at the L&M stores on Hutcheon Street in the early hours of this morning.
The man entered the store at around 1.25am, presenting a weapon and demanding money.
The female shopworker refused and the man left the premises.
He was last seen walking down Hutcheon Street towards George Street.

The woman was not harmed during the incident and nothing was taken.
The man is described as 20-25 years old and around 5ft4ins.
He was wearing a black Northface Jacket, dark baseball cap, blue and white checked trousers and grey and red Nike Air Max shoes.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Sam Harris said: “I am appealing for information from anyone who may have seen a man matching the description, in the Hutcheon Street area in the early hours of this morning.
“Thankfully the shop worker was not injured as a result of this incident and her actions meant he left empty handed. Our inquiries are ongoing and the local community are thanked for their patience as there will be police presence for a time.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
