A probe has been launched after a consultant was found dead in an operating theatre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Police and medical staff are investigating the sudden death of Dr Paul Holder, a consultant anaesthetist.
It is understood medical equipment was involved in the death.
Officers were called to the Foresterhill site at around 5.20pm on Sunday after a member of staff discovered the body.
There do not appear to be suspicious circumstances, police said.
A spokeswoman for NHS Grampian said: “We are assisting Police Scotland with a live investigation. Our thoughts are with the bereaved at this time. Out of respect to all those involved we will not be commenting further.”
