A burst pipe left homes in the south of Aberdeen without water this evening.
Reports of a leak on Earns Heugh Way in Cove were made at around 5.15pm.
Many houses nearby have lost their water supply as a result.
Scottish Water launched an investigation and confirmed that the issue had been fixed four hours later.
A spokesman said:”Supplies have now been restored to properties in Earns Heugh Way, Cove Bay.
“Customers may experience discoloured water, if your water is discoloured, please run your cold kitchen tap at half pressure and the water should clear.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding.”
