Firefighters are working to put out a blaze at in Stonehaven. UPDATE 5.47pm: The flames have now been extinguished. The fire started on a patch of grass at the Dunnottar Castle war memorial at around 3.48pm this afternoon. A total of 18 firefighters including three appliances and a water carrier are on site. A spokeswoman said: “The fire started on the grass by the war memorial. “Fire crews are using beaters and knapsacks to douse the flames.”
