A tearaway teenager has apologised after leading police on a late night 80mph chase through the streets of the city.
Having not long passed his test, Cameron Reyboz hit the road in his black Volkswagen Golf on October 7 – pushing the speed limit and both undertaking and overtaking cars in the process.
The 19-year-old was spotted by a pair of police officers monitoring traffic flow on North Esplanade West, who decided to tail him and pull him over.
But despite following him with blue flashing lights on, Reyboz continued driving and led them down Riverside Drive towards Garthdee.

The officers lost sight of him as he turned onto Holburn Street but spotted his “distinctive” car parked up nearby shortly after and apprehended him.
Reyboz admitted dangerous driving at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
Depute fiscal Lynzi Souter said: “Travelling with blue lights on, the officers were driving at speeds in excess of 60mph and were not able to gain any ground.”
The officers later clocked a speed of 73mph but still found they were unable to catch up with the 19-year-old.
After he was caught, Mrs Souter explained that Reyboz was still sitting in the driver’s seat and was apologetic.
Defence solicitor Liam McAllister said: “They were expecting a different style of driver, rather than a young man who was quite humble and quite remorseful.
“He couldn’t give any explanation as to why (he was driving dangerously) but didn’t try to play it down.”
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank was highly critical of the man’s behaviour and said: “Speed limits are there for a reason.
“They are there to save your life and other lives.
“It’s ridiculous that somebody would speed in a built-up area like this.”
Reyboz was fined £700 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
