Police were called to West High Street in Inverurie at 10pm last night, after receiving reports of an “alleged assault.” The fight broke out between the Butcher’s Arms pub and Edwards, near to the British Heart Foundation shop. Alasdair Cable, who owns the Butcher’s Arms, said he was alerted to the incident by door staff and called the police. He said: “The pub had nothing to do with the incident, it was away from our premises. “My door staff came to me and asked me to call the police. “It was over within minutes. “I handed over the CCTV to officers and they went on their way.” Police have said inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
