Wannabee detectives donned their deerstalkers and took to the streets of Aberdeen for an exciting event this weekend.
Aberdeen Detective Day invited members of the public to take part in a city-wide mystery game.
The event on Saturday, which was hosted by outdoor game company CluedUpp, was described as a “giant, outdoor version of the board game Cluedo”.
“Sneaky Finders” was set in the fictional town of Millingham, and teams of detectives – some of which had travelled from across the north-east to take part – were tasked with cracking the case as they stalked the streets, tracked down virtual witnesses and eliminated suspects.
More than 100 teams took part, with the majority of groups dressing up in clothing appropriate for sluething.
The fastest team at this weekend’s event were You’ve Been NCKS, with the prize for best dressed team going to You Meddling Kids, who wore Scooby Doo costumes.
A spokesman for CluedUpp said: “We’re always amazed at how much effort Aberdonians put into costumes, team names and taking photos.
“It’s always a hard task to choose between them all, we are incredibly grateful they all got into the spirit of the day.”
The Best Team Picture prize went to Miss Marple’s Misfits, Best Team Name to The Squeaky Blinders, Best Little Detectives to Sneaky Pikachu Detective and the Best K9 Detective went to Humphrey’s Heroines.
