A man was taken to hospital after falling off a scooter near a north-east harbour. Emergency services were called to the scene on Main Street in Fraserburgh at around 11am this morning. A lifeboat was launched amid concerns the man had fallen at an embankment at the harbour, though it was later stood down. A police spokeswoman said: “A man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident. “The man had fallen from a scooter near an embankment and there was concerns it was near the water. “He didn’t end up in the water. “The injuries are not thought to be serious.”
