A youth has admitted sharing intimate photos of a 15-year-old girl on social media.
The 16-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, lived in Aberdeen at the time of the offence but his address was given on court papers as Northamptonshire.
He pled guilty to disclosing a private image last February, showing the girl in “an intimate situation”.
The accused admitted “intending to cause her fear, alarm or distress” by sending it on to others.
Fiscal Anna Chisholm, said: “The victim had been in a relationship with the accused when the picture was sent.
“The accused thereafter sent the image to a group, containing the girl and three other individuals.”
Defence agent Ian Hingston reserved any comment until his client returns to the dock to be sentenced next month.
Sheriff Andrew Miller described the offence as a “serious” one and called for social work reports to be prepared.
