Two men and two women are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in connection with the theft of thousands of pounds worth of clothing and other items from the city centre.
Officers were alerted to suspicious activity yesterday by security guards and a vehicle was subsequently traced on the A90 near Laurencekirk in connection.
Two men aged 56 and 44 and two women aged 57 and 47 – all from Glasgow – were arrested and charged in relation to alleged theft by shoplifting offences.
Items worth a potential five-figure sum have been recovered.
