Three crews were sent to Stirling Hill Quarry, at Boddam, at 2.30pm today. The teams from Peterhead and North Anderson Drive were able to rescue the pet and return it to its grateful owner. A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “The dog was around 20ft down a quarry at Stirling Hill near Peterhead. “We rescued the dog using safe working at height equipment. “We were able to hand the dog back to its owner. “Our crews left the scene at 3.20pm.”
