A man caught driving at 84mph in a 40mph zone in Aberdeen has been banned from the roads.
Hristo Todorov was arrested on October 16 last year, and admitted a dangerous driving charge when he appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
The 29-year-old, of Rosemount Viaduct, was travelling along West Tullos Road in Kincorth in his black Vauxhall Insignia when he came to the attention of officers.
Court papers state that he was also driving “during the hours of darkness” with adhesive films over his front and rear headlights – “making it more difficult for other drivers and pedestrians to see his vehicle approaching”.
Todorov represented himself from the dock yesterday, but was advised to appoint a lawyer before he returns to the court to be sentenced next month.
Sheriff Graham Buchanan banned the accused from driving until at least that time.
