Drugs with an estimated street value of more than £60,000 were recovered by police in the north-east over the weekend.
On Sunday, a vehicle attempting to board a ferry at the terminal at in Aberdeen was stopped by officers.
Heroin with an estimated street value of around £50,000 was recovered.
Daryl Black, 41, and Kelly Gibson, 34, both from the Glasgow area, have been charged as a result and appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
The pair made no plea when they appeared in private and will make their next appearance in court in the next week.
The recovery of the five-figure-sum of drugs came just two days after Stuart Stephen, from Peterhead, was charged following the recovery of heroin with a street value of £2, 000 from the Guild Street area of Aberdeen last Friday.
The 49-year-old made no plea when he appeared at court yesterday and will also make a reappearance within the week.
In addition, police also caught and charged Michael McIntosh, 31, following the recovery of cannabis and cocaine with a street value of around £8,000 from the Newmachar area on Thursday 25 April.
He was also charged in relation to the alleged possession of an unlicensed air weapon and appeared in court last week.
Detective Sergeant Andy Wilson said: “The illegal supply of drugs spreads misery and harm in our communities and the last few days has seen a significant quantity of illegal drugs being removed from circulation.
“There will be no let up from Police Scotland in our commitment to tackling the illegal supply of drugs and associated antisocial behaviour.”
