Investigation launched after man dies aboard a north-east trawler

A major probe is underway is after a man died on board a north-east trawler.
Emergency crews were called to the Fraserburgh-registered Artemis as it sat in Kilkeel harbour in Northern Ireland on Monday afternoon.
The incident on the vessel has sparking an immediate investigation by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch with the body confirming officials were on their way to the port.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said they were called to the scene and a charity air ambulance also attended the quayside.
A spokesman added: “Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no one was transferred to hospital.”
A Marine Accident Investigation Branch spokesman said: “We have sent two investigators to Kilkeel, Northern Ireland to investigate an accident involving the death of a crewman on fishing vessel Artemis while alongside in port.”
