A man was taken to hospital with “potentially life-altering” injuries after a crash in Aberdeen on Sunday night.
Firefighters cut him free of a blue Vauxhall Corsa which had overturned on the outskirts of Cults.
The 35-year-old driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance to be treated for “serious and potentially life-altering” injuries, police said.
Emergency services were called to the unclassified road between Cults and Kingswells at around 6.15pm.
Another person managed to get out of the car before crews arrived at the scene.
Police closed the road for more than three hours after the crash.
A spokesman said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the unclassified road.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the car beforehand is urged to contact police.”
