Willows Animal Sanctuary, in New Pitsligo, is opening a new wholefoods store on Saturday. The shop will stock a range of frozen and chilled foods, bread and baked items from local environmentally-friendly companies. Cruelty-free make-up, essential oils and nature organic incense will also be on offer. Yard manager Vicki McDonald said: “We hope that this will help us to bring in a regular income to help make Willows more secure. “We’re hoping that people will choose to come and buy some of their weekly grocery shop from us to help fund the sanctuary. “We’re always looking for donations of books, good quality secondhand items and animal feed, particularly cat food.” The store will be open Thursday-Monday from 11.30am-3.30pm.
