A busy road has been shut in Aberdeen today after a 10-year-old child was involved in a collision with a car.
Police were called to Garthdee Road shortly after 2.30pm, following reports that a child, who officers believe was on a bicycle, was involved in a crash.
The child has been taken to hospital by ambulance crews, and is not believed to have suffered from any life-threatening injuries.
The emergency services have closed parts of the road, and the closure is expected to continue into the afternoon.
Access to the Asda supermarket and the nearby B&Q is currently closed off.
Motorists have reported major traffic congestion around the area.
