Businesses are being urged to sign up to take part in Aberdeen Restaurant Week, with two months until the culinary celebration gets under way.
The initiative, aimed at enticing more people in the city centre, runs from July 15 to July 21 and organisers Aberdeen Inspired yesterday launched an appeal for eateries to get involved.
More than 40 local businesses took part in the February edition of the event, and new additions for the summer equivalent include tasting menus, drink-pairing menus and afternoon teas.
Nicola Johnston, evening and night-time economy manager for Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We got a fantastic response to Aberdeen Restaurant Week in February and can’t wait to bring it back in July.
“Planning is well under way and we are encouraging restaurants, cafes and local businesses to take up the opportunity to be a part of this event.
“It had a hugely positive effect on restaurants involved previously, and truly shines a spotlight on the wide variety of fantastic food establishments in Aberdeen.
“Our aim with Aberdeen Restaurant Week is to bring people into the city centre and encourage them to enjoy everything it has to offer.
“That in turn is beneficial to traders and we would love to have even more restaurants embracing it.”
