An amber flood alter has been raised across the north-east as heavy rainfall is expected.
Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire could be affected by potential flooding with heavy and intense showers set for today and tomorrow.
Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) are warning that urban and developed rural areas, roads and impermeable surfaces are at risk of disruption due to surface water run-off.
A statement said: “Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
“This flood alert is now in force until further notice.”
The Met Office have also reported on the off chance of potential thunder later this evening across Aberdeenshire.
A statement said: “A cloudy start with mist and fog burning back to the coasts through the morning, though likely to linger here most of the day.
“Slow moving showers soon developing, these turning heavy by the afternoon with a risk of thunder.”
