Last year's Grampian Pride march down Union Street
A north-east trade union has announced its support for this weekend’s Grampian Pride event.
A parade, speakers and entertainment will be held on Union Street and Aberdeen Castlegate from 10.30am tomorrow.
Unite the Union will have a stall at the Pride village, encouraging people to fight against discrimination in the workplace.
Regional industrial officer Tommy Campbell said: “It’s vitally important to show our solidarity and full support for those in the LGBT+ community, particularly when there is a rise in intolerance and prejudice across Europe at the moment.
“Bigotry exists everywhere and comes in many forms. We’ve got to stamp it out in our workplaces and communities”
