Officers are appealing for witnesses after two cars were vandalised in Aberdeen in the early hours today.
The cars had their windows smashed while they were in the Lossie Place and Mastrick Road areas.
The first car, a red Vauxhall Astra, was targeted at around 12.05am today.
The second vehicle, a red Ford Connect van, was targeted at around 1.20am. As well as having its windows smashed it was also set on fire.
No one was injured.
Officers are keen to trace three men who were seen in the area at the time.
They have been described as wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. They are of slim build and around 5ft 10ins.
It is understood they may have been using a vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Mike Reynolds said: “There will be an increased police presence in the area while we carry out inquiries.
“I would ask that anyone who may have witnessed either of these two incidents or who saw the men described speaks to any officer or contacts police on 101 using reference number CF0131690519.
