A Fraserburgh teen and her teammates have launched a crowdfunder to compete in a European basketball competition.
Eilidh Noble, the only girl chosen to train for the Scotland under-16s team from Grampian, is raising money along with her family, team members and friends.
At 14-year-old Eilidh is thought to be the youngest called up, and is now hard at work training for the European Championships which will take the teams in Copenhagen later this month and Moldova next month.
The Fraserburgh Academy pupil is hopeful the group can raise £3,000 to cover their team costs.
After a year of playing basketball at St Andrews Primary school, Eilidh’s talent was spotted by Fraserburgh Storm coach Leo Harper.
Five years on, and she’s delighted to be a reserve for the under-16s European Championships.
Eilidh said: “It feels incredible to be part of something like this, especially as I’m a year younger. I have played for Scotland twice in the past but it’s even more exciting this time as it’s the older age group.
“I enjoy working as part of a team, and I’m a really competitive person and I enjoy how competitive the game is. I also like how it is a semi-contact sport so you don’t get injured by the contact but you still get to fight for the ball.”
The youngster, who can play all positions but mainly plays as guard, is one of 18 girls on the training team who are helping raise £3,000 to ensure their top 12 can compete in the competitions abroad.

Basketball Scotland made it a team effort and the group have so far done lucky squares to win an iPad, another to win Spice Girls tickets and raffles while also enticing sponsors.
Eilidh’s mum Lisa Noble is helping the team raise as much as they can.
“I am absolutely delighted for her and immensely proud of her, she said. “She has worked tirelessly to become the player she is and it’s great to see all her hard work paying off.”
