The world-famous, Grammy award-winning singer Michael Buble will perform at P&J Live after extra dates were added to his sold-out UK tour.
The singer, who has topped charts across the globe with hits like Haven’t Met You Yet, has confirmed five more dates dates for his An Evening With Michael Buble tour at major venues across the UK in November and December.
The million-selling Canadian crooner has already sold out performances across this month and June in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London and Leeds, and as a result has today revealed five additional shows “due to phenomenal demand”.
And he will kick off the next leg of the tour at P&J Live on November 27, his only Scottish show of the winter.
He joins a number of other A-list musicians already confirmed for performances at the £333 million replacement for the AECC, including Alice Cooper and Sir Elton John.
The 43-year-old will bring his 32-piece band to the north-east before touring Newcastle, Liverpool, Nottingham and London.
Louise Stewart, head of entertainment at the venue, said: “Michael Buble is a global music superstar and to have him play at P&J Live is a major coup, as well as an exciting treat for all his north-east fans who now have the chance to see him perform live.
“This is a game-changer for the venue and the city, and exactly the calibre of event we hoped to attract when planning this transformational project.
“Michael is just one of the many big names we will be announcing for P&J Live in the coming months.
“He really is the consummate showman, full of charm and with a stunning voice.
“We are sure his concert at P&J Live will create memories to last a lifetime.”
Ms Stewart encouraged fans of the international heartthrob across the north-east to buy their tickets to the show early in order to avoid disappointment.
She also expects fans from Dundee and beyond to make the trip north along the recently completed Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, straight to the new exhibition centre to see the singing star.
Ms Stewart added: “His previously announced shows have sold out, and we expect tickets for his concert in Aberdeen to be snapped up when they go on sale, so fans should be quick off the mark.
“We are also looking forward to all his fans from Dundee who we expect to flock to P&J Live for this great gig.
“The venue is only about an hour away for them, especially with the Aberdeen bypass, so it is so easy to reach.”
Tickets go on sale at 9am on June 7 at www.aegpresents.co.uk
