Firefighters and police officers will go head-to-head once again in a charity football tournament this summer.
Battle of the Badges 2019 will pit two emergency service teams against each other to raise funds for the Archie Foundation, which works to improve the lives of local sick children and their families.
Each player will be teamed up with a child mascot who has been or is currently a patient at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
This week, members of the Archie Foundation met with three local businesses on the pitch at Cove Rangers’ Balmoral Stadium to launch the second annual clash.
Jamie Smith, fundraising manager for the Archie Foundation Grampian team, said: “The team at Archie are really excited to host Battle of the Badges for a second year.
“Thanks to Cove Rangers, we are able to see this event take place in the brilliant Balmoral Stadium, with plenty of space for family activities.
“Thanks are also due to Oor Wullie’s Braw Fish and Chips, ACE Freight, and Mac Architects for their sponsorship.
“This support will allow us to take Battle of the Badges 2019 to the next level and deliver a fantastic family event in aid of The Archie Foundation.”
As well as the match, the June 22 event will also involve bouncy castles, games, fire engines and police cars and other family friendly activities.
The match will begin at noon.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite or via Archie.org.
