A group of four golfers have raised more than £6,500 in aid of cancer support by taking part in a golfing charity drive.
The Tee Birds, four members of Peterculter Golf Club, completed 72 holes in a day earlier this month in aid of Macmillan.
Lynn Nicol, Sarah Gordon, Loraine Richards and Lesley Nicol teed off at 4am on June 4, which is Women’s International Golf Day.
The four golfers played all throughout the day and night, covering 24 miles of fairway and finally completing their goal at around 10pm.
So far, the Tee Birds have generated £6,725 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which the charity will use to aid cancer patients and their loved ones throughout their journeys.
And the women are already planning a further barbecue and dance at the club in August, to help raise even more for the cause.
