Funding to improve parking around a north-east hospital could be approved next week.
Aberdeenshire Council, NHS Grampian and the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership have been working together on the area around Chalmers Hospital in Banff.
The local authority’s landscape services is poised to carry out £2,000 of improvement works at Battery Green.
This includes excavating top soil around the car park, laying weed suppressing membrane and installing a road surface.
NHS Grampian has already put forward £1,500 towards the cost of the improvements, with the council applying to the Banff Common Good Fund for the extra £500.
A report to be discussed by councillors on the Banff and Buchan area committee next week said Battery Green is considered a “common good asset.”
The funding application will be considered at a meeting in Fraserburgh on Tuesday.
