Rock, jazz, swing, soul – and even ukuleles – will provide the soundtrack to Scotland’s biggest summer beer festival.
The 10th Midsummer Beer Happening takes place in a marquee at Stonehaven’s Baird Park next Thursday to Saturday.
Performers at the festival include top jazz guitarist Rainer Goldbeck, Stonehaven acoustic combo Mojo and rock band Celtic Beast.
The festival’s musical director Keith MacRae said: “Music has been at the heart of the Happening since the first Beer Festival and this year is no exception.
“For our 10th anniversary we welcome old friends and new faces with the usual great mix of styles.
“From acoustic folk to high octane rock there something for everyone, the perfect soundtrack to enjoy the Happening by.”
The three-day festival will also feature the debut of the Hamlet Collective, a young fusion band based in Aberdeen, who will provide a unique blend of swing, soul and funk.
Other highlights include the return of top North East rock band Reloaded, the Jazz at the Blue Lamp Community Big Band and the Aberdeen Ukes.
The Happening will boast more than 120 of the best beers to be found in the UK and further afield from the continent to the US.
