A range of community groups have been given a share of £80,000 for various projects across the north-east.
Banff and Buchan Area Committee members considered applications for the area initiative funds and allocated the sum to 22 different projects.
Those which missed out were discussed and mostly found that funding could be secured by other means and prioritised the other projects.
Some of those being given funds are the Friends of Fraserburgh North School for a community garden, Fordyce Community Association for hall storage, Invercairn Community Hall for a new boiler, and a portable stage for Portsoy Community Council.
