Extension plans for a Mintlaw community building will be discussed by councillors in private next week.
Members of the Buchan area committee will be looking at the extension project for the Mintlaw and Central Buchan Initiative centre – known locally as MacBi.
Last year, plans were lodged with the council to extend the centre which offers sports facilities, a gym, a cafe and a soft play area.
The proposals, when originally submitted in 2018, included a new hall, a nursery and a men’s shed, and would be constructed on the site of Mintlaw’s former library which would be demolished.
It was sold to the MacBi group by the council for a £1 in February to allow the proposed redevelopment.
As part of that agreement, the library’s collection of books and computers would move into the MacBi Centre on Newlands Road.
Members of the public are excluded from hearing the discussion.
